Anubias Nana Petite, as its name suggests, is one of the smallest of the anubias species and originates from West Africa. It is a very attractive plant, and due to its small size, ideal for foreground placement in an aquarium. It can be attached to rocks, wood, and other hard surfaces (when planting, be sure not to cover the rhizome). The plant produces small, round deep green leaves that are sturdy enough to withstand boisterous fish. When the plant is "happy" it will flower, producing white or yellowish flower stalks.
Like most anubias plants, anubias nana petite is a hardy and adaptable aquarium plant that will do well in most water conditions. The plant does not require strong light. However, its growth will be more robust if provided with stronger light and the addition of liquid fertilizers. Under good conditions, Anubias Nana Petite will readily reproduce from side shoots or by dividing the rhizome.
