Limnophila Aromatica is a beautiful aquarium plant. The plant can be grown submersed or emersed. To obtain the most desirable colour and growth, high lighting and rich nutrient levels must be provided. The leaves are green with dark red shades of purple on the underside. Under ideal growing conditions, the entire leaf can turn reddish-purple. In low-light places in the aquarium, it turns light green. It creates many new shoots from the base. Trimming older shoots is recommended in order to make room for new one. It is best to plant it in the midground or in the background of a larger aquarium because it can reach a height of over 20 cm.
