Red Tiger Lotus Nymphaea - submerged

100% Safe for Shrimps, Snails, and Fish – No Pesticides - 1 Bulb - 1-2 cm (bulb dimension)

The Red Tiger Lotus is a stunning aquatic plant that adds a bold, vibrant touch to any aquarium. Its deep red leaves create a striking contrast against green foliage, making it a popular choice for aquascaping. Ideal as a lush, natural centrepiece, it thrives in both small and large aquariums.

Growing from a bulb, the Red Tiger Lotus produces broad, arrow-shaped leaves that can either float on the surface or remain submerged. Its fast growth rate makes it suitable for both beginners and experienced aquarists. With proper care, it can quickly transform your tank into a colourful underwater garden.

Native to Africa, this plant thrives in tropical temperatures and doesn’t require CO2 injection, making it easy to maintain. The bulb can produce multiple shoots over time, creating a bush-like appearance.

Perfect for Dutch-style aquascapes, the Red Tiger Lotus works well as a focal point in the centre of the tank. Its unique red tones add variety and help create a balanced, natural look in any aquascape.

How to Plant:

  1. Insert the Bulb: Gently push the bulb into the substrate, ensuring that two-thirds is buried, with the top third exposed. The bulb will soon establish itself and begin sprouting.
  2. If Unsure Which End to Plant: Simply place the bulb on top of the substrate. Once new shoots appear, plant the bulb with the shoots facing upwards. Do not fully bury the bulb, as this may cause it to rot.
  3. Detached Plants During Shipping: If the plant detaches from the bulb during shipping, plant both separately. The bulb will produce a new plant, and the detached leaves will take root in the substrate and continue to thrive.
